The hilarious parody of the Fifty Shades of Grey Trilogy, 50 SHADES! THE MUSICAL – THE ORIGINAL PARODY is a laugh out loud night of fun!  The show opens with a ladies book club deciding to read Fifty Shades of Grey. Through their interpretation of the novel, the audience is led on a hilarious roller coaster ride of this unlikely bestseller. 

The show is full of dance numbers, 11 original songs, and a live band backing the performance.  Original songs include “They Get Nasty,” “I Don’t Make Love,” and “There’s a Hole Inside of Me.”

He Ain't No Vargas is a limited edition book containing an extensive collection of grease pencil nudes by Derek Hess that utilizePlayboy magazine covers as canvases. The pieces were created using 1960s and 1970s era Playboys-- the very same issues Hess first discovered as a fourth grader. The nostalgia brought back by the taboo material of Hess' childhood made the project even more fun for the artist. Drawing loose and fast, Hess was able to capture the vibrant feeling of the figure.

The book has drawings spanning from the beginning of his experimentation with Playboys back in 2010 all the way into his most recent works done in August, 2013. Vargas refers to the artist Alberto Vargas, who was responsible for the pin-up nudes in Playboy for decades, and the book title is a tongue-in-cheek shot at Hess and his ability to draw. Hugh Hefner gave his personal blessing, perhaps giving the book the highest praise one can receive from Playboy magazine.

Derek Hess’s work has been recognized in both the music and art world for over 20 years. Hess began creating promo flyers for shows in Cleveland, OH. New York - October 24, 2013 - BBC AMERICA announced today two special theatrical screening events of Doctor Who’s 50^thAnniversary special, Doctor Who: The Day of the Doctor, in RealD™ 3D on November 23 and 25, 2013.

In association with AMC Entertainment Inc., Cinemark Holdings, Inc., and Regal Entertainment Group, BBC AMERICA makes history by honoring eleven Doctors on Saturday, November 23 with a global simulcast 3D screening event in eleven cities at the same time the 75-minute Anniversary special premieres on BBC AMERICA and across the globe. Tickets for the Saturday, November 23 screenings will go on sale October 25, 2013 at 9:00am EST for theater locations* in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, Seattle, Washington DC, San Francisco, Dallas, Houston, Atlanta and Minneapolis. Starring in this theatrical comedy is PETER STORY. Peter has appeared in primetime shows on all three major networks--some of his favorite credits include CSI (directed by Quentin Tarantino), Without a Trace, Ugly Betty and recurring roles on Jay Leno’s The Tonight Show and Rob Lowe’s The Lyon’s Den.  He stars opposite Steve Guttenberg in the cheesy horror film, Cornered, and can be seen opposite Weed’s Elizabeth Perkins in the hilarious short, Le Chat Est Mort.

JACKSONVILLE, FL – Rhythm of the Dance comes to Jacksonville’s Times-Union Center’s Moran Theater for one performance only on Tuesday, February 19th at 7:30PM!  A National Dance Company of Ireland presentation, this two-hour dance and music extravaganza contains a wealth of talent derived from all areas of Irish life, including three tenors and a seanos dancer.  The show is an inspiring epic, reliving the journey of the Irish Celts through history!

Using the traditional and modern arts of dance (ballet, modern dance, jazz) and music, this richly costumed show marries the contemporary and the ancient.  Combining traditional Irish dance and music with the most up-to-date stage technology, Rhythm of the Dance is a thousand-year-old story executed with all the advantages of the modern day stage show.
